The year is 2012. Humanity is rapidly heading towards cataclysmic predictions of the Apocalypse. Destruction, despair, and greed ravage the world. Beyond the devastating wars fought between nations, a secret war brews for all of humanity… flanked by Good and Evil.

The Brotherhood has utilized their knowledge of alchemy to survive for centuries in secret. Familiarity with magic, science, and the divine, and the use of special agents have allowed them to furtively influence the outcome of many historical events, mostly with good intentions.

The Brotherhood’s current agents are the Fources, human half-breeds with powers rooted in each of the central elements of philosophy: earth, water, fire, and air. Discovered by the Brotherhood as young children, these four are orphans with very little connection to their elemental ancestry. They fight for a world to which they only partially belong.

 

 

Wilhelm

The eldest member and leader of the Fources, Wil pushes his team to the limits. His constant strategy and training sessions have put him at odds with several members of his squad. Wil has mastered amazing powers based around H2O, which comes from his half-undine (water elemental) heritage. With enough “Wil-power,” he can turn any part of his body into liquid form. He also has limited control over water and often shoots high-powered blasts from his arms.

Normandy

Stubborn and quick-tempered, Normy often does not agree with Wilhelm’s leadership methods and will be the first to let him know about it. At the same time she has a lot of respect for the team’s general. Normy is a strong woman in every sense. Her legacy is that of a gnomus (earth elemental), giving her many unique abilities. She can lift huge masses and survive impacts of immense force. She has limited control have over dirt and stone. On more than one occasion, Normy has even claimed that the Earth has spoken to her.

Finola

Your not-so-average teenager of 17, Finola definitely believes the world is against her. But unlike the rest of the boys and girls at her school, she has a way to fight back. One of Finola’s parents was a sylph (air elemental), making her adept with all things of the air. She can fly and can create whirlwinds that can gyrate enemies, or pick up and slam them with force. Finola’s free-willed attitude gets the Fources into many sticky situations.

Aden

Despite his explosive abilities, Aden is the quiet member of the team. Various hobbies of music, extreme sports, and cars are really just a cover to allow him time to think about where he comes from. Aden would like to know more about the vulcanus (fire elemental) side of him that grants him control over fire and heat. His powers allow him to shoot fiery rockets from his hands and turn his whole body into a gigantic flame. Aden and Normy share a special bond. This love connection will develop over the course of the series.
